Friends Fear For The Health Of Legend

Friends of legendary comedian BOB HOPE fear he only has days to live. Hope,
96, star of numerous "Road" movies with BING CROSBY, has lost his hearing
and sight and his heart is weak. Staff, nurses and his wife of 66 years,
DOLORES, privately believe it will be a miracle if Hope makes it to his 97th
birthday on May 29th. Until recently, Hope played golf every day, went to
the supermarket and visited his favorite bar for a BRANDY ALEXANDER. But now
according to a friend, "Bob can't walk, he is nearly blind and deaf and he
sleeps most of the time. After his staff wake him for breakfast, he goes
back to sleep."
