Hitchcock Scribe Dies

HOLLYWOOD, May 30, 2000 -- The screenwriter who co-penned the Alfred
Hitchcock classic "Vertigo" has died. Samuel A. Taylor was 87.
A former journalist with the New Yorker, Taylor segued into radio, TV and,
later, film. Other screen credits included 1969's "Topaz" (also for
Hitchcock).

Additionally, Taylor penned the 1953 play "Sabrina Fair," which was
converted into the 1954 Audrey Hepburn film, "Sabrina," which was remade
into the 1995 Harrison Ford film, also name of "Sabrina." Taylor shared a
screenwriting credit on the original film version.
