Baby Doe is an accomplished promoter and performer, having produced

Director and choreographer for The Devil-Ettes (San Francisco's only

Francisco and Los Angeles. It is the only event of its kind in the
world. Together with her husband Otto von Stroheim, Baby Doe also
manages to find time to produce Tiki News Magazine, the nation's
premier tiki enthusiast publication (www.tikinews.com). Together
they produce an annual three day event in Palm Springs called The
Tiki Oasis. May 7,8,9 2004 will mark the 4th year of this event.

Brynne Cortez - I actually started my actual fashion career at the
age of 16 in the beautiful resort town of Newport Beach. Hired as a
sales person by an excessive -80's- cocaine-loving store owner I
quickly learned the 'retail ropes.' My boss was either coked out or
on a merchandising free-for-all so it gave me an excellent
opportunity to try things out on my own (for my first winter window
display I installed several fans, a whole lot of Styrofoam popcorn,
and the seasons latest bikinis dangling from fishing wire) It was a
big success and a show stopper for sure. I later took a stab at live
models in the window but found too many drunk ooglers standing
outside the window and not buying anything. It was here that I
developed sales, merchandising, and buying skills that would later
aid me in my future fashion career. I came to San Francisco in 1992
(via Los Angeles) to pursue my career in fashion. I have to date,
worked in the old clothing mart (888 Brannan), worked in sales and
merchandising for Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue, assisted designer
Celia Tejada, co-founded and co-owned the clothing line Space
Cowgirls, founded Runway Productions, a production company
responsible for producing an annual fashion show and mini-mart
promoting Bay Area designers (Counter-Couture), and currently work as
an instructor at FIDM in the Visual Communications department.

Ruth Snow has overseen the production of Runway's Counter-Couture
fashion show for the past 3 years. Her company, Silver Sun
Productions, maintains the highest standard in graphic design, visual
display, backdrops, set design, and wardrobe. Silver Sun provides an
open environment for creative expression, where artists share their
passions and explore fresh ideas. Ruth holds a fine arts degree from
the Ft. Lauderdale Institute for the Arts and has worked in visual
display for major retailers like Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus,
Macy's, Ferragamo, and Frette. She is also an instructor at FIDM
(Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) in the Visual
Communications department
